18th July 2021:

East Lodge is in a great location especially if you have children, the playpark is right next door. A perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. The house is comfortable and plenty of space for 4 people. There is WiFi but unfortunately the signal isn't great in the living room and with 2 kids that can cause issues. We weren't aware that the fairground was coming to town and it was right on the doorstep, thankfully the loud music finished by 2100. Would definitely stay here again though.

Perfection. Top property, top location, top service. Even in these odd times Iain surpassed himself with communication and meant we went on holiday to the lodge with confidence. The property is amazing and so well located.

Tips:

Nairn beach and James’ ice cream with tonnes of flavours, hopeman beach and the bootleggers Bothy and wester hardmuir farm for amazing fresh fruit

Tips:

Fantastic location right in the park. Lovely walks up Cluny Hill and close to Findhorn beach. Well worth a visit to the Mossat and the Kimberley Inn for food-both dog friendly pubs. Visit Logie Steading for locally made items

26th May 2019:

One again a friendly welcome from Ian who is always willing to give any assistance he can. Had everything looked out for our dog and a thoughtful welcome pack. Even though Forres is my home town he made the effort to let us know what had happened or was going on since our last visit. Will be back.

Tips:

Mosset Tavern and The Captain's Table in Findhorn are a must. Lovely walks round the town and situated in a large park that is ideal for dog owners.

13th April 2019:

The house was in a stunning location right on the edge of Grant Park. The house was spotlessly clean and Ian gave us a lovely, friendly welcome. I could not have wished for a better location, or lovlier house to stay in for our visit it Forres.

Tips:

Findhorn beach is a must for seal spotting and Burghead and Lossiemouth are worth visiting for their lovely beaches too. Forres has some great pubs, The Mosset is in a lovely location and our evening meal in the restaurant was delicious! Legends bar was a lively place and The Beastie was great too. Everywhere we went people were friendly and happy to chat. We didn't venture far on this visit - we didn't feel we needed to. Everything we needed was right on the doorstep.

26th October 2018:

Lovely property, spacious, with well thoughtout rooms. Perfect for families, two couples or like us, a couple with dogs. The property was clean and had ‘all mod cons’ but at the same time was a comfortable place to relax. Ian met us on arrival and explained everything we needed to know.

Tips:

Great location, at the heart of Forres. Lovely views of Grant Park from both the living room and bedroom windows. Perfect base to visit the area as only a few miles from beautiful, unspoilt beaches and Findhorn Bay. For us it was ideal to visit our family who live in town.

16th September 2016:

A very pleasant and unique cottage, ideal for staying in the centre of town. Beautifully furnished and very welcoming, just like the owners. It was wonderful having so much space and being right on the park was great.

Tips:

We climbed up to Nelson's tower every day, the view is spectacular. We really enjoyed going back to the 'Beastie' (The Red Lion) in Forres. It has been re-furbished and is now a lovely pub to walk to with great food. Even scummy muffins on the bar to go with a coffee if you fancy! Also Califer Hill for the views is a must for us.
