24th November 2023:

Excellent b and b, rooms were spacious with comfy bed and couch and my room had a free standing bath which was great, a shower was also there if I wanted it. The lady who runs the b and b was very welcoming and couldn’t have been nicer. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of options. The location is only a 5 minute walk from the town centre so handy for getting something to eat etc. I travel up north for work quite a lot and will definitely book this place again. Thank you for a tremendous service.

We ate in the Wetherspoons as we had a limited budget as it was paid for by our work, although this was still a good dinner. Plenty of nice pubs to drink in and lots of options for eating.

The house and the room are literally charming, as they date back to 19th century. Zofia, the Host, is taking care of you, as if she were your Mother. Everything was perfect. I would only have stayed more than only two nights. Thank you Zofia, if I ever come back to Scotland in the future, I will surely stay in your B&B, but for longer!

There are a lot of things to see and do, depending on someone's interests. Further to Elgin Cathedral I personally visited the castles nearby : Cawdor Castle, Ballindalloch Castle, Duff House, Huntly Castle ruins, Fyvie Castle and Leith Hall Zofia suggested I should also pay a Quick visit to Portsoy 17th century harbour, where movues are often shot. There is also the Kinnaird Lighthiouse un Fraserburgh

Zofia's B&B in Elgin is a handily close to the centre place to stay with immaculate rooms and a great breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and the room had everything I needed. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area and need somewhere to stay.

There is a very good Turkish restaurant (Ada) in Elgin that I can also highly recommend which is about a 5-10 minute walk away from the property.

I would recommend Zofia’s BnB without hesitation. The Victorian house has been renovated with an artist’s attention to style, taste and detail. Our room was large and comfortable with a grand bathroom attached that had a beautiful bathtub for soaking. While the location is a few blocks from the center of town and close to restaurants, coffee shops and shopping it is blissfully quiet at night. Beyond all that, Zofia is a most gracious host and we were well taken care of during our time with her. If you have a problem she likely has a solution.

Ada Turkish Restauant - lamb shoulder, melt in your mouth delicious… Planta Cafe and Eatery (Authentic Neapolitan Pizza) - great coffee, pizza and fresh green salad…. The Qismat Tandoori- sophisticated venue, owner very nice man, professional staff, good food. Big tip- ask for chai (is not listed on the menu but is available - best we have had in Scotland.

This is a very comfortable guest house. I stayed over while on a business trip and found a warm welcome, very comfortable bedroom, and breakfast was fresh and well presented. Hard to find a better option, and it is good to spend the money with a local business, helping to keep the local economy alive.

The owner was very helpful to recommend restaurants for an evening meal. I had a meal in the Drouthy Cobbler. Good pub and good food.

A beautiful old house that has been renovated and decorated to a very high standard. We had a very large room overlooking the lovely gardens, with all the facilities to be expected of a superior guest house. The host was friendly, helpful and very accommodating and provided us with a delicious breakfast in the beautiful dining room. This is easily one of the very best guest houses that we have stayed in and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it.

Simply delightful! The pictures I shared with friends back in Australia asked if I was staying in a Castle! The fine, old style decoration, Scottish tartan theme and old style grand dining room and lovely designed trees in the back garden. Really a taste of Scotland! and the host was lovely. Real chatty and so helpful. Couldn't do enough to help. The place was absolutely spotless! No fridge in room, but I'm new to b +b's so maybe this is normal. Quite sure if I asked, Sofia would have let me use the fridge in dining room. For me it was the perfect, relaxing holiday getaway from the rush of real life. Thanks for a lovely stay.

I went further to Inverness. Urquhart Castle, a beautiful waterfall with a nice walk and a drive all round the loch with a meal at the side of the loch.

Moraybank is a really lovely house, very homely and clean with a really good atmosphere. Zophia, the lady who runs it is so wonderful and will do everything she can to make your stay memorable. The breakfast is superb (would really recommend the "full English") The rooms are spotless and the beds really comfortable. Will definitely be going back!!

There are very good restaurants nearby and the town of Elgin has lots of good shops. Elgin is quite central to many places of interest. Loch Ness is only 1 hours drive away and well worth the trip. A trip to the Cairngorms is only about one and a half hours away and the scenery is absolutely stunning.

Zofia recommended a pub on the high street but we ended up in an Italian restaurant named Scribbles, busy but inexpensive and great food. We went to Elgin Cathedral( ruin ) but were a bit shocked at the price £9 per adult so didn’t bother, maybe cause I’m a tight fifer🤣 the high street area is quite nice and had a coffee in a nice cafe called Planta.

This elegant house is a joy - beautifully furnished with interesting artefacts and immaculate. Zofia is an attentive hostess and the cooked breakfast was perfect - runny eggs and tasty local sausages.

Do go and see Lossiemouth...Walking along the unspoilt sandy beach to the lighthouse was brilliant... and this area has a micro climate with more sun than most of Scotland. Elgin is a lovely town.... Would be happy tolive there.

Moraybank is a bed and breakfast place I have stayed at many times. We are always assured of a warm welcome . Zofia’s bedrooms Are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Moraybank’s situation in Elgin is ideally placed for so many places to visit. The dining room is beautifully furnished and the breakfasts are scrummy..

Elgin is a lovely place to.be based. An interesting coastline to explore, as well as the delights of Speyside With its distilleries And wonderful walks.

Very friendly and helpful host. Everything was spotless and measures to prevent Covid-19 were taken very seriously. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was the size of a bedroom! Very nice antique furniture.

La Toscana makes very good pizzas. The Cathedral is a must. Lots of nice costal villages within a short drive to visit.

Wifi would have been good. It might have been available but we didn't ask and couldn't find a password in the room. Zophia was a fabulous host..very knowledgeable about keeping her guests safe from Covid.

Excellent. Zofia was a wonderful host and the breakfasts were excellent. Our room was very large and nicely appointed. The draperies were extraordinary. We did miss having a shower but the bathtub was lovely. We would stay here again for sure.

Elgin doesn't have allot going for it as a destination, however if you are travelling Scotland and self driving I would certainly recommend a night or 2 at this B&B
